Cargo supervision

Cargo supervision

It refers to the systematic monitoring of ships (such as bulk carriers, container ships, oil tankers, etc.) during the cargo loading, transportation, and unloading processes to ensure compliance with domestic shipping regulations, cargo safety, and transportation efficiency.

Key management requirements

1-1 Management before loading:

Ship's seaworthiness inspection: cargo holds are clean, and equipment is in good condition (ventilation, fire fighting, and securing devices).

Cargo stowage plan: It shall be formulated by the chief mate or professional stowage personnel to ensure the stability of the ship. Dangerous goods shall be separately isolated.

1-2 Loading process management:

Weight control: Use a weighing apparatus or a draft gauge to measure weight and ensure no overload (refer to the ship's load line certificate).

Cargo securing: Leveling of bulk cargo (to prevent shifting), lashing of containers (to prevent overturning).

1-3 Management during transportation:

Voyage monitoring: AIS real-time tracking to avoid areas with severe weather conditions.

Cargo status inspection: Bulk grains: Regularly inspect temperature and humidity to prevent mold growth. Dangerous goods: Inspect for leaks, temperature, and pressure (such as for liquefied gas carriers).

1-4 Unloading management:

Damage assessment: Take photos immediately upon discovering any damage to the goods.

1-5 Document Handover: Verify the shipping documents and cargo manifest to ensure the quantity/quality is correct.
